Monday 29, today is the orientation from 6:00 to 7:00 (right after my sketching class)
It was cool I won a Autocad Book because I answered a question at the end of the presentation.
The orientation covered an overall view of the architecture career and the different paths one can choose to take, also an introduction to all the staff that we will be seeing, including several architecture professors and the student community that runs the AIAS, that will be hosting several events like tours, conferences and workshops for the architecture students... members and non-members :)
To join the AIAS you pay a fee and get discounts for architecture materials ....oooo ',:O
A personal exploration through what life and the internet have offered. It is a mix between a search for innovative ideas and projects in architecture, and what a girl, who was 18 when she started the blog, has grown and what questions arouse her mind in this journey to adulthood. Just sometimes...

AIAS
Yesterday, Monday august 22, I had my first architectural drawing class. It was super fun, we did blind contour sketching. The professor was teaching us about lines and to develop hand-eye communication, because apparently we couldn’t look at what we were sketching! The point of the activity was to fix your eyes on the object you were drawing and without separating your pencil from the paper (or looking at your paper) you and sketch a figure with depth. It was extremely relaxing.
At first we sketch a lose piece of paper that we wrinkled, then I sketched my hand AND THEN… WE SKETCHED OUR PARTNERS! (That we didn’t know yet ...) THAT… was extremely funny. The professor had us starring at a person that had to be staring at us back! PLUS we couldn’t move cause the other person was sketching us! Or at least trying to! J
Very, very fun, I will try to upload the sketches so you can laugh for a while. I learned about different types of lines and pencils width and softness. I used 5 pencils: 2H, H, F, 3B, 6B (listed from harder and thinner point to thicker and softer point)
Now I’ll tell you about my adventure in which I had to drive by myself from Davie road, BC Central Campus, all the way to Oakland Park Way then go down on the N Federal Highway to a store called Utrecht (not the city in Netherlands but an art store here in FL J ) … AND THEN SOUTH TO Las Olas Blvd to BC Downtown Campus!
I have to say that I did a good job in not getting lost J I made it to the store and 30 min early to class. Mission accomplished J
BUT NOW…
I had 30 min to waste … so I was talking to Daniel and remembered about the architecture club that BC offered… so I looked for the professor that was in charge of the club but he was nowhere to be found… until I went in my class and HELLO! The professor in charge of the club was in MY CLASS! What? He was there to tell us about the club AIAS (American Institute of Architecture Students) , it sounded very cool because it offers contacts for future jobs or internships, and it tells you about different university programs and they help you transfer with ease to a university.

TREE HOUSES
OH yeah ...
my love... my adoration... tree houses :) .... ahhhhhhh
Today I decided it had been long ago since I used Stumble Upon, so... I first click! and it took me to a really nice webpage about design ---> www.dornob.com
SO ...First thing I see was an architecture click on which opened several options for architecture you might be interest on. The options are: addisions , contemporary, conversions, green homes, houseboats, offbeat, portable, prefab, TREE HOUSES, ultra modern , and urban design.
Let me just say that... THOSE ARE AWSOME OPTIONS°! :)
This is one of the tree houses I liked , please notice the detail of the tiles in every stair!
